5/30/2016

Once again, Paia has been featured in a national publication.  We were sent this link from the New Hampshire online newspaper.  If you come across a Paia article, send it to us and we'll share it.

Paia Courtyard Update

5/27/2016

FYI:  The gravel parking lot (which is private property) before the post office is now paid.  It is part of a bigger project called Paia Courtyard.  Here is information including who owns the property and what is going on.

Live streaming is becoming the new and the now.  Most of us have seen the Chewbacca Mom who has become the most viewed FaceBook Live video as of today.  The Paia Town Association has been livestreaming for a couple months.  We prefer to use Periscope.  Why?  Our ED Noelani, loves Twitter.  So?  Twitter aquired Periscope, and the broadcast will show in your Twitter feed without having to open the app.  Also, a person can watch a broadcast on their desktop.  Click here and you can see a scope Noelani did regarding Special Improvement Districts (it looks a lot better on the app).  It's not perfect...she says um lot, is a little shaky with her phone, and doesn't always look at the camera.  But, it's a real and organic platform for her to engage with people interested in Paia.  She has been able to network with different walks of life.  One of her greatest supporters has been a woman in Pennsylvania who came to Maui on vacation.  She originally was staying in Lahaina and was told to visit Paia, a place she had never heard of.  She came, and like most visitors, fell in love with Paia's small town charm.  She found the Paia Town Association account and has been networking with our ED ever since.  We're on most social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Periscope.  Follow us on your favorite one! If you're new to live streaming or scared and want support, contact us.  We know what it's like to hit start broadcast for the first time!  Mahalo!

    Aloha!

Welcome to the Paia Town Association Blog.
