PAIA GIVES Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 6-9 pm

Come out for a festive night of shopping and giving.  Each store in Paia is supporting various non-profits and charities, all while throwing a great party. Special deals, giveaways, and lots of fun await those shopping at all the great local businesses on the North Shore. Contact your favorite store or check out or for more information.

In its sixth year, PAIA GIVES has become an annual event that raises thousands of dollars for the charities adopted by each store. Special deals, refreshments, and a great party make a memorable evening of shopping and giving in Paia Town. This year stores are raising money for the following non-profits:

Art Galleries

Maui Crafts Guild – 69 Hana Hwy (579-9697) Every artist in the guild has donated an item and we have a box filled with hand made Maui goodies. We are selling tickets for $5 donation each or 5 tickets for a $20 donation. We are supporting the Paia Youth & Cultural Center.

We will have the drawing as a New Years Celebration.

The Basket is a $750 dollar value.

Maui Hands – 84 Hana Hwy (579-9245) We will be offering a drawing for a set of metal turtles valued at 180.00. All of our proceeds from the drawing will go to the Paia Youth & Cultural Center.

Refreshments served as part of the celebration!

Turnbull Fine Art – 137 Hana Hwy (579-9385)  Will donate 20% of the sales during Paia Gives to the Paia Youth & Cultural Center.


Biasa Rose -104 Hana Hwy (579-8602)   Super Duper Sale Rack!   Raising funds for Maui Humane Society

By the Bay – 90 Hana Hwy (579-9777) Artist, Roxanne Broadbent, will be painting one of her signature surfboards. We will raffle one of her giclees valued at $195.00 with proceeds benefiting Imua Family Services.

Letarte Swimwear – 24 Baldwin Ave (579-6022) The Letarte Store is going to honor this special night with giving a raffle ticket with each $10 donation to Surfrider Foundation between 5pm & 8pm, for a chance to win a $100.00 gift certificate for Letarte labeled merchandise. The funds raised from raffle will be donated to Surfrider Foundation. There will be Christmas refreshments at the store between 5-8pm as well.

Lilikoi – 18 Baldwin Ave (579-6055) We are having a drawing benefiting Maui Human Society! $140 of Kai frangrance products will be given away.  People can donate a $1 for an entry throughout the month, and on the 22 we will give one ticket for every $20 that is spent.

Mahina – 23 Baldwin Ave (579-9131) Raising funds for Women Helping Women!  Come out for a great night of shopping and helping stop domestic violence.

Nuage Bleu – 76 Hana Hwy (579-9792) We are giving raffle tickets with each $5 donation to win one of two $100 gift cards! All donations benefit our favorite charity, A Keiki’s Dream. We are also hosting a trunk show featuring 20% off of all Hula Hoops Maui Jewelry!

Oceania Maui – 120 Hana Hwy (573-6597) We will provide information for our customers about the Youth Center with flyers and other materials from the Youth Center. We will donate 10% of our sales for the whole day to the Paia Youth Center. Every customer who purchases something at our store or donates directly to the Youth Center (through a donation form provided in our store) that day can enter a raffle for a $50 gift certificate for our store.

Tamara Catz Boutique – 83 Hana Hwy (579-9184) We will be donating 10% off our sales the day of Paia Gives to Haleakala Waldorf School.

Grocery and Wine

Mana Foods – 49 Baldwin Ave (579-8078) For the entire month of December, Mana Foods is collecting bag credit donations for the Maui Foods Bank. When you check out at the register, instead of taking your $.05 reward for bringing your own shipping bag, you can choose to donate it to the Maui Food Bank.

Also, on December 22, Mana Foods will have a Food Drive for the Maui Food bank, where people can donate non perishable food items. The most needed items are: Canned meats & Tuna, Cereals, Canned Soups, Meals with Protein, Canned Fruits, Rice, Canned Vegetables.

Indigo – 149 Hana Hwy (579-9199) Raising funds for Radio KOPO of PYCC.  One raffle ticket given for every $20 spent in store.  Portion of night’s proceeds will benefit RadiO’pio .  Prize items include a quilt, pillow covers, CMIYA clothing and “Tribes of the Omo River” a book by Daniel Sullivan.
